Gordon is currently in his 23rd year of counseling practice.  Gordon moved to North Carolina, from Indiana with his family in 2003. He is the owner/director of Carolina Beach Counseling. 

While in Wilmington he has worked for Family Services of the LCF, Inc. as the Clinical Director and HomeCare Management as a Regional Manager.  Prior to moving to North Carolina Gordon was the director of the Bowen Center, a community mental health center, for 10 years. 

He received his Master’s Degree  from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago.  He is a Nationally Certified Counselor, a National Board Certified Hypnotherapist and a former clinical member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ASTA). 

Gordon’s clinical experience is in both group and individual therapy with a wide array of  clinical populations.  He has extensive experience in psychological testing and assessment.  He co-developed and operated an AD/HD clinic that specialized in assessment and treatment for adults and children. 

He has presented workshops, both regionally and nationally, on a variety of topics including:  AD/HD, parenting, stress management, child & adolescent development; utilization of time effective techniques with the persistently mentally ill.  He recently served as the chair of the local Mental Health Association Chapter.
